Dr. Ali Khalighi
Dr. Ali Khalighi is currently an Associate Professor with the Ecole Centrale Marseille and the head of the Telecommunications and Antenna Processing team at Fresnel Institute. His main research areas of interest include signal processing for wireless communication systems with an emphasis on the physical layer aspects of free space, underwater, and indoor visible-light optical communications.
He has served as the Technical Program Committee member for over 25 international conferences and workshops in the communications area. He was the Vice Chair of WG2 of the FP7 IC1101 COST Action on optical wireless communications, and is currently the Project Coordinator of the H2020 ITN MSCA “VISION” (European Training Network on Visible-light based Interoperability and Networking), 2017-2021. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications and IET Electronics Letters. Also, he was the guest co-editor for Elsevier Optik Journal and the co-editor of the book “Visible Light Communications: Theory and Applications,” CRC Press, 2017.
